Review
FileBox eXtender is a nice add-on for Windows Explorer. It actually works best if you use this application with the File/Save and File/Open File windows that you get in most applications. FileBox eXtender adds two buttons to the left of the minimize, maximize, close buttons on the blue bar of those windows. From there, you can access your favorite folders. In the configuration window of this application, you can add folders and locations throughout your computer. It doesn't necessarily have to be a folder. It can be a network share or a simple file. You can even set filters for file types that you use frequently. You can also add the buttons to other Windows Explorer windows. Custom Open File and Save file windows won't show these buttons. In short, the application will allow you to access the folders that you use most frequently with a single click so that you don't have to lose time going through the usual process. The latest version of this application is 2.00.2. However, this review deals with version 2.0. |
